Man in Critical Condition after near-Drowning in Tuscaloosa’s Hurricane Creek
A man is in critical condition after nearly drowning at Hurricane Creek Park in Tuscaloosa, police officials said Wednesday.
Lt. Jack Kennedy, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said investigators were called to the park on a possible drowning around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.
The victim, an adult male, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in critical condition, Kennedy said.
The man was with friends and family and the incident appears to have been accidental, Kennedy said, but the VCU responded and will investigate as a matter of protocol.
