Woman Had Her Day in the Sun with Help from Orange Beach, Alabama Lifeguards

There is proof that there are still good people in the world.

In my opinion, the most disrespected age group is the elderly. According to the Administration for Community Living, the population of persons in the United States in 2019 was “54.1 million,” which balances out to be “30 million women and 24.1 million men.” There are about “849, 837 persons 65 plus in Alabama, which is about 17.33% of the population.”

I took care of my parents for 10 years. So, I witnessed firsthand how people would try to treat them. Notice the keyword “try” because you know I wasn’t having any of that business.

Young lifeguards went out of their way to help a 95-year-old beachgoer. Just look at this!!!!!!!!

I know right now your heart is filled with joy.
The Orange Beach Surf Rescue mentioned on Instagram that the “Lifeguards are public servants, and we could not be happier to help provide this service. Ms. Dottie Schneider recently visited us here in Orange Beach at the age of 95 in hopes to enjoy the beach but was unable walk through the sand on her own. Everyday for one week Lifeguards would meet Ms. Dottie and her family to help assist her down to her beach chairs then at days end escort her back to the condo. The family thanked us in return with a fridge full of food at the end of the week.”

It is these acts of service that keep us all going. I encourage you to think of others as you go through your day. You never know what impact your kind gesture or smile will have on someone.

By the looks of it, Ms. Schneider enjoyed her Orange Beach version of David Hasselhoff.
