Two men have been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a 15-year-old girl was shot in the neck early Sunday morning.

Capitan Kip Hart, the assistant commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said 22-year-old Jeremy Hines and 21-year-old Jonathan Cook have bother been charged with attempted murder and will be taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail Sunday afternoon. Both men are from Livingston, Ala.

Cook is also charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The victim, who was shot in downtown Tuscaloosa around 2:15 Sunday morning, was first taken to DCH Regional Medical Center then flown to Children's Hospital in Birmingham for treatment of a gunshot wound to her neck. She remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon.
