Saban Speaks On FSU Not Making The College Football Playoffs
It's official. The Alabama Crimson Tide are headed to the College Football Playoffs.
The University of Georgia and Florida State University both were bumped out of the conversation after Alabama's win against the Bulldogs. Online, there has been a lot of discussion about FSU not being in the playoffs, being that they're undefeated.
FSU's Head Coach Mike Norvell made a statement following the announcement of his team being left out of the CFP.
"I am disgusted and infuriated with the committee's decision today to have what was earned on the field taken away because a small group of people decided they knew better than the results of the games," Norvell said.
The day after the Tide defeated the Bulldogs and the announcement was made, Coach Nick Saban gave his thoughts on the accomplishments of the team and coaching staff.
"You have to go out there and prove that you know how to win in terms of being able to sustain for 60 minutes, and keep making plays, and keep playing hard and I think our guys have done that all year, and they certainly were able to do it last night."
"Florida State is certainly a good team," Coach Saban said. "To go undefeated in their league it's unfortunate that some good team had to get left out, but I really think that our team earned the right to be here."
The Alabama Crimson Tide will face off on New Year's Day in Pasadena against the No. 2 Ranked Michigan Wolverines.
