Taco Bell Testing Meat Substitute In Alabama
I LOVE MEAT.
Nothing beats a big 16-oz Prime Rib with a baked potato, horseradish cream sauce and Au Jus.
Meat alternatives and substitutes are all the rage in this big goofy world this day and age.
I have heard all the "reasons" why we need these options going forward.
However, it is getting plain ridiculous.
Doubt me? When I tell you it's getting stupid?
I'm sorry but burgers made from maggots are not being eaten by this man, EVER.
Mealworms are not any better in my humble opinion.
Barclays predicts that the "edible bug" industry will grow from $1 billion to $30 billion between now and 2030.
Not with any help from me. I don't want to hear the environmental argument either, because cows are not gonna kill the planet.
Now comes the news that Taco Bell is testing a plant-based meat alternative in the state of Alabama.
It began on August 18 at Birmingham, Alabama locations of Taco Bell and if it sells well, many other stores will roll it out next year.
According to Taco Bell the meat alternative has been certified vegan by the American
Vegetarian Association.
Here is more on the testing in Alabama and more cities to be included in Alabama soon.
I, will stick with ground beef and chicken. Thank you very much.
