This Hoover, Alabama Children’s Attraction Birthed An Amazing In-Home Hack
Exploring new things to do with our kids has become my family's favorite pastime. This latest place my wife took the kids has me thinking of in-home hacks.
As I enjoyed my tailgating experiences during Alabama Vs. LSU weekend, my wife was at home with our newborn baby and toddler. At least I thought she was at home. It turns out, she had taken a day trip with the kids to Hoover.
First off, let's give a round of applause to my wife for going out in public with two kids at once all alone. We're still rather new in this parenting journey so it's kind of a big deal to me. Caring for a 1-year-old and a 1-month-old out in public is a huge task.
After thinking they were home sleeping, I looked at my phone to find a video of our son having the time of his life! My first thought was, "Where ya'll at?!"
It turns out my wife found a place called Let's Play. It's an indoor children's play center.
Our son literally had the time of his life! He was running through the ballons.
Climbing through the different obstacles was something else he enjoyed.
Of course, he enjoyed the ball pit.
After that whole trip, seeing the videos and hearing about how much fun he had, I realized something about my son. He loves to jump or bounce on trampolines. Here's the hack.
I got the idea to blow up our air mattress and let our son jump around. It kept him occupied and tired him out so he was somewhat ready for bed.
You may be thinking, why not let him jump on our regular bed. We don't because most times that is where the newborn is and we don't want to disturb her sleep. With the air mattress separate from the bed and possibly room, you have an occupied toddler. Would you try this simple toddler hack in your home?
