UPDATE:

UAPD has investigated and determined that there is no threat to the University of Alabama campus at this time, according to a spokesperson from the school.

Previous story:

According to a media outlet in Montgomery (WSFA), an investigation is currently active by the FBI in relation to a "bomb threat email" sent to multiple media outlets.

The email was full of vulgar language and threats of violence. The subject line of the email simply read "We placed bombs all over Alabama, leave the Moores alone."

The message made reference to the Alabama Department Of Transportation and stated "The Alabama Department of Transportation will stop their plan to take the Moore family's land."

The author of the email then turned his threats toward the University Of Alabama with the message "we placed bombs in the Alabama department of transportation offices in Montgomery, Mobile and Birmingham” and “in all ATF offices in those locations as well as at the University of Alabama."

Officials have confirmed nothing in relation to the plot or the family mentioned, nor have they commented on where this family may be located.

However, we found a story that involves a family with the "Moore" name and the Alabama Department Of Transportation.

The story reports a battle between a family in Dixon Mills, Alabama and a construction project that would force the family off of the land they have lived on for over 100 years.

It also mentions a campaign launched by the family called "Seize No Moore Homes".

We reached out to Deidre Stalnaker and Shane Dorrill in the Department Of Communications at the University Of Alabama for comment on the threats.

As of now, we have not received a call back from anyone with the University Of Alabama.

Earlier, The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency posted this on social media:

“The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is aware of the most recent bomb threats made against the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT) employees and their offices, as well as offices with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the University of Alabama. ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) in conjunction with local and federal partners are currently investigating the threats and monitoring the situation. Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.”
