Alabama Traffic Stop Turns Into $2 Million Cocaine Bust
For anyone who feels like drug trafficking is slowing down or not happening close to where you live, this might help to change that opinion.
It seems like Alabama is becoming a hotspot for illegal drugs, unfortunately.
Back in 2021, more than $ 1 million worth of cocaine was found in bundles that washed up on an Alabama shore, according to WVTM.
It seems like the kilos of cocaine didn't stop there. This Youtube video by WKRG told the story of another kilo of cocaine showing up on an Alabama shore which seems to be close to the time the $ 1 million worth of cocaine was found.
Just last month, there was a report about a huge bundle of cocaine that was found washed ashore in Alabama.
The package was found on Dauphin Island.
Recently, a police department in Alabama made a traffic stop and things took a drastic turn.
According to WKRG, two women were arrested after being pulled over by the Mobile County Sheriffs and the U.S Border Patrol.
WKRG says that after being pulled over, the two women in the vehicle gave conflicting stories about their travel plans which prompted authorities to search the vehicle.
There were multiple hidden traps in the vehicle including in the floorboard and sidewalls which contained over 217 pounds of what was suspected to be cocaine according to WKRG.
A release from the MCSO said that the suspected street value of the cocaine is $2.1 million.
