Boys & Girls Club of West Alabama Launching Legacy of Hope
This special event promises to be a heartwarming celebration, featuring inspiring speeches from dedicated supporters, government officials, and Club members. The focus of the campaign is to bring much-needed state-of-the-art updates and renovations to the Jaycee Park Club, expand program offerings, introduce a branded fleet of transportation vans and Mobile Club site vehicles, and ensure financial stability through the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama Foundation.
Campaign Co-Chair, Club Alumna, and Board Member Yolanda Stockdale emphasized the campaign’s significance, stating, "This campaign is extremely important because it allows Clubs to provide quality programs, in safe spaces, that build character and help members become leaders."
Among the distinguished speakers will be University of Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne, a major donor and host of the annual Mal Moore Memorial Tournament. Attendees will also hear from LaMorris Bester, the 2023 Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama Youth of the Year.
Following a brief program, guests will be invited to tour the Jaycee Park Club, showcasing the exciting changes planned.
President and CEO Kim Turner highlighted the campaign's importance: “We know the time has come for our community to rally on behalf of the children and teens who are the future of Tuscaloosa and the surrounding area. This capital campaign is the next step in making it possible for our Clubs to provide all of the tools and resources local kids need to imagine and create a Great Future.”
Join us in supporting the future of our youth and community.
