As of Monday, July 6, anyone doing business in the City of Tuscaloosa is required to wear a face covering. They should go over both the nose and mouth. This is in response to the growing number of COVID-19 cases and the city’s desire to see the rate of infection decreased.

However, as the mandate was put into place, the City of Tuscaloosa also began to work on providing coverings for those who may not have them and may not have the ability to purchase them.

Then, too, let’s face it…. There are some people who refuse to spend their hard earned money toward a cause that would protect others as it seemingly violates their freedom. Well, great!  Now you don’t have to spend your money to be in compliance!

According to the City of Tuscaloosa, face covering distributions will be held July 13 through 20 at the following locations and times:

  • Monday, July 13: Oakdale Elementary, 7 - 10 a.m.
  • Wednesday, July 15: Skyland Elementary, 7 - 10 a.m.
  • Friday, July 17: Tall Pines Golf Club, 7 - 10 a.m.
  • Monday, July 20: Northridge Middle School, 7 - 10 a.m.
