From Stillman College To Working With Boosie, The NFL & More

How's this for a huge success story! From Stillman College here in Tuscaloosa to working side by side with a hip-hop legend.

Walik Gibson is a Tuscaloosa native and he's doing big things not just in Alabama but nationwide. During the first half of 2020, Walik made a huge announcement. He started a partnership with rapper and businessman Boosie. Walik founded Syndicate Marketing & Sports Management and officially went into business with Boosie. Walik is the COO and Founder and Boosie is the CEO of the company.  As a full-time student and employee at Stillman College, I don't know how he finds the time to run a company!

I took some time to interview Walik and we discussed this new venture. This experience has to be surreal! I look on Instagram & see Walik at Boosie's house at different events and meetings. I couldn't help but ask how it feels working hand and hand with a celebrity.

Walik found a way to put his experience into words, "It's all family. The crazy thing about it, everybody hear the songs and the rap and a lot of negativity sometimes but they don't understand this man has his hand in everything. From water to his own fragrances, to his own app, the list goes on and on. He's one of the smartest guys I've ever met."

One of the first people I met when I moved to Alabama was Walik and he's been nothing but helpful, and about his business. It's really great to see him on this path to success and representing Stillman College and Tuscaloosa while doing it. Syndicate Marketing & Sports Management has already signed some of the biggest names in the NFL, NBA, Motorsports, and more.

Walik spoke on the opportunity to work with Boosie and what this means to him saying, "It means the world being that I not only am I a fan and been one, Boosie always showed love in Tuscaloosa." Who would've thought Walik would've gone from meeting Boosie at a Stillman car show, to working with him a few years later.
