According to 247Sports's Charlie Potter, redshirt junior kicker Joseph Bulovas has entered the transfer portal. Bulovas is considered a graduate transfer and will be eligible to play for whichever program he transfers to for the 2021 college football season.

Bulovas is a member of the 2017 recruiting class for Nick Saban, coming in as a 3-star prospect. He was a rotational kicker in 2018, his redshirt freshman year. He led the team with 117 points, hitting 75-81 PATs and 14-18 field goals that year.

In 2019 he lost the starting job to Will Reichard before taking over the job again when Reichard injured his hip. That season Bulovas made 59-61 PATs and 8-11 field goals.

He did not see the field in 2020 as Reichard returned to the starting role making all 98 kick attempts including 14 field goals, as well as the handling of kickoff duties.

Bulovas ranks fourth all-time at Alabama in points with 200, a stat which has only been tracked since 2000. His field goal percentage of 75.9% trails only Reichard (85.7%) and Jeremy Shelley (80%.)

Bulovas joins linebacker Kevin Smith (Georgia Tech), defensive lineman Ishmael Sopsher (USC) and defensive back Eddie Smith in the transfer portal this offseason.

There's no clear indication where Bulovas may go. His 2016 recruitment was contested by Mississippi State, though the Bulldogs are pleased with former Arizona State grad transfer Brandon Ruiz who announced his intentions to return to Starkville for his final season Wednesday.
