NIL Done Right: Bryce Young Partners With Epic Gaming
Name, image and likeness (NIL) has been on the forefront of the college football conversations after Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher locked horns in media at the end of May.
Saban accused Fisher of improperly using NIL to attract the nation's No. 1 recruiting class in 2022. Saban has talked over time about the Alabama players utilizing NIL properly and making more money than any program in college football.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is the poster boy for Crimson Tide NIL as Bryce Young is the highest-valued college athlete according to On3Sports NIL Valuation. He was the center of attention last summer as Saban claimed he had earned $1 million prior to taking a snap as the Crimson Tide starting quarterback.
Young continues to add to his list of NIL deals and put out a video on Wednesday featuring himself playing one of the most popular video games on the market, Fortnite. Made by Epic Gaming in 2017, Fortnite is a first-person shooter survival game that's been incredibly popular amongst gamers since its inception.
Young is partnered with Epic Gaming to promote Fortnite's newest variation on the well-received game, "Zero Build Mode". The mode eliminates the ability to build walls for protection, forcing players to focus on their shooting skills to win the rounds.
The Heisman Trophy winner signed with powerful sports agency Creative Artist Agency (CAA) and has NIL deals in place with BMW, Logan's Roadhouse, Cash App, Leaf, Wild Card, Onyx among others.
