When I moved from the New Orleans area to Tuscaloosa, I thought the hardest part would be missing my family and friends. My first few months living here went smoothly, and I found the transition wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Then the summer months came along, and I found myself staying in Alabama. I brought myself to the conclusion that I was desperately homesick, but I didn't know what I was exactly homesick for.

After sitting by the pool, tanning in the Alabama heat, I realized I was longing for the comforting smell of boiled seafood. Eating crawfish poolside was a regular activity for me back home, and I was having some severe food withdrawals. I set out to find the best seafood places in Tuscaloosa, and after some trial and error, I'm happy to share my findings with you.
