Time For Change Peaceful Protest & March Today

The state of Alabama has seen many peaceful protests to support the mission of Black Lives Matter.  The United States has a growing list of protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death.   According to the event page on Facebook, “Today, June 12, 2020, at 5 pm at Snow Hinton Park, there will be a “Time for Change – Peaceful Protest and March.”  Also, the invite noted that “the protest will begin at the pavilion, located near the play area.  We will gather there in solidarity to hear speaks of the community share their voices.  We will participate in a march around Snow Hinton Park.”  Snow Hinton Park is located at 1000 Hargrove Road East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, 35404.

If you are wondering what protests have been going on in the United States, you can click here to view a map provided by USA Today.  These are the cities that have “protested police violence.”  It lists the site of the protest and if the National Guard has been activated.  The big question is … Can American change?  I hope that it will change, and everyone can have a better understanding of race relations in 2020.  According to Vox, “the protesters are fighting against history, present injustices, and hearts that refuse to be changed.”
