His name is Rodney Smith, Jr. and he's one of the most inspirational people I know.

Rodney's face graces Lay's packaging as part of the company's "Smile Across America" campaign, and when you flip the bag and check out the back, you can learn more about this amazing role model.

Rodney Smith, Jr., a resident of Huntsville, Alabama, founded Raising Men Lawn Care Service a few years ago. He's mowed thousands of yards for the elderly and disabled and for single parents and veterans, too. Raising Men Lawn Care Service challenges kids across the country to join the movement by mowing lawns in their own neighborhoods.

Raising Men Lawn Care Service recently kicked off the "50 Yard Challenge," and kids from across the United States have joined in the fun. They're challenged to mow or tend to 50 yards as a way to help their neighbors.

Isn't this an incredible idea? Rodney has started an organization that teaches kids the value of altruism while also helping those who are unable to get their own yard work done. I wish the world had more people like him.

In addition to placing his smile on bags of their kettle cooked, salt & vinegar, and cheddar & sour cream chips, Lay's also hooked Rodney up with a sweet lawnmower.
