West Alabama Prayer Breakfast Set for April 21
A long-standing Tuscaloosa tradition is returning this spring as the 26th Annual West Alabama Leadership Prayer Breakfast is set for Tuesday, April 21.
The event will take place at the Bryant Conference Center on the campus of University of Alabama, bringing together community leaders, residents, and guests for a morning focused on faith, leadership, and reflection.
Doors open at 6:30 a.m., with the program beginning shortly after and wrapping up promptly at 8 a.m.
This year’s keynote speaker is nationally recognized artist Steve Skipper, known for his work in the sports world and beyond. His artwork has been commissioned by notable figures including former Alabama head football coach Nick Saban, along with Crimson Tide legends like Bart Starr, Ozzie Newsome, Kenny Stabler, Sylvester Croom, and Heisman Trophy winners DeVonta Smith and Mark Ingram.

But Skipper’s story goes far beyond art.
Once involved in gangs and battling drug addiction, he now shares a powerful testimony of transformation and faith, crediting his journey to his relationship with God. Today, he uses his platform and artistic talent to inspire others and share that message.
The West Alabama Leadership Prayer Breakfast continues to serve as a space for the community to come together across different backgrounds, centered around encouragement, purpose, and connection.
Tickets and table sponsorships are available now online at westalabamaprayerbreakfast.org. For those planning to pay by mail, organizers ask that payments be received by Friday, March 27.
For many in West Alabama, this event has become more than just a breakfast. It is a yearly moment to pause, reflect, and start the day with intention.
