Tuscaloosa is about to get a dose of the King of Pop.

A Michael Jackson tribute concert is headed to downtown Tuscaloosa later this month as MJ Live takes the stage at the Historic Bama Theatre on Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m.

The show stars Danny Dash Andrews, widely known as one of the country’s top Michael Jackson tribute performers. From the signature moonwalk to the unmistakable sound and style, the performance recreates the energy and excitement that made Jackson one of the most iconic entertainers in music history.

The concert delivers a full scale production designed to celebrate Jackson’s legendary career, according to a press release from the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa.

“MJ Live delivers a thrilling concert experience that celebrates the life and artistry of one of the most influential performers of all time,” according to a press release from the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa.

The show is designed to take fans on a musical journey through four decades of Jackson’s career, featuring a live band, theatrical lighting, and concert level sound that mirrors the spectacle of the King of Pop’s global tours.

Fans who want a more interactive experience can upgrade to the VIP Meet and Greet package, which includes a post show meet and greet with the performer, an autographed poster, and the chance to take a personal photo.

The performance is part of the TuscArts OnStage 2025 through 2026 season, which highlights nationally touring tribute acts and live entertainment at the historic venue.

Tickets for the show are on sale now through the Arts Council box office and online.

The Historic Bama Theatre is located at 600 Greensboro Avenue in downtown Tuscaloosa.
